On Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Departmental House for Disabled People (MDPH) of Gard, located at 176 boulevard Salvador Allende in Nîmes, will open its doors to the public for a day dedicated to exchange and inclusion.
A diverse program for everyone
From 2 p.m., visitors will be welcomed in a friendly and informative setting. The afternoon will be punctuated by highlights, including:
- HAS 3:30 p.m.an intervention by Christophe Serre, 1st Vice-President of the Departmental Council responsible for the Autonomy of the elderly and disabled, and president of the MDPH.
- HAS 15h45the inspiring testimony of Flora Vautier, disabled table tennis player and bronze medalist at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
- HAS 16ha free snack will end the day in a warm atmosphere.
Interactive activities and workshops
Many activities will be offered throughout the afternoon:
- Exposition photos on the theme “Sport and me” by the APF France Handicap association.
- Selfie boxadapted sports area, and well-being workshops including seated and head massages.
- A space dedicated to children, with face painting hosted by Sarah Cavalier.
Visitors will also be able to obtain information through thematic stands and workshops:
- Inclusive housing and shared living : a workshop to discover new forms of adapted housing.
- Autism spectrum disorder : awareness and immersion with specialized associations.
- Job : partners such as Cap Emploi 30, ADRH 30, and adapted companies will be present to provide information on professional integration.
- Caregivers : information spaces, interactive theater, and respite workshops.
A day to inform and support
Practical workshops, upon registration, will allow participants to better understand the administrative procedures linked to the MDPH, in particular through a presentation of the teleservice and the support tools for completing the files.

Easily accessible by public transport (bus lines 6, 7, 76 or Trambus line T1), this free event is organized by the Gard Departmental Council. A unique opportunity to better understand the actions carried out for people with disabilities, to share testimonies and to participate in various workshops.
