A considerable fire broke out in an agricultural building in Saint-Fulgent-des-Ormes (Orne), around 2 a.m., this Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Around forty firefighters are still mobilized to extinguish the flames. At least 600m2 were destroyed, around thirty employees found themselves unemployed.

A fire broke out on the night of Tuesday December 3 to Wednesday December 4, 2024, in an agricultural building in St-Fulgent-des-Ormes, in Orne. This would be the Ferme des Champs Romets, located in the place of the same name. The flames hit an industrial building used for “meat processing“, indicate the firefighters.

Warned around 2 a.m., at least 42 firefighters were mobilized for this intervention. At 7 a.m., the operation was still in progress. Many barracks were called to provide reinforcement, the mobilized firefighters came from Belleme, Alençon, Mortagne, Moulins, Saint-Côme en Vairais, la Ferté Bernard, Mamers, Domfront and Le Theil.

This would be the Ferme des Champs Romets, located in the place of the same name. With a total surface area of ​​1,200 m2half of the building would be destroyed, according to firefighters.

Around thirty people found themselves unemployed following this fire.
