New employment contract ratified at Infasco in Marieville

The new three-year employment contract provides for a total salary increase of 14.5%. The first year, with retroactive effect, includes an increase of 8%.

For years two and three, an increase of 3.25% is expected for each. In addition, evening and night bonuses are doubled.

Other advantages

Other gains include splitting vacation time to give workers more flexibility, increasing premiums for all group insurance services and eliminating the $50,000 lifetime cap on insurance coverage. It is now unlimited for all services.

The salary scale has been revised. The rule requiring new workers to start at 90% of the hourly rate before reaching a certain number of years of seniority is eliminated. From now on, new employees will start directly at 100% of the hourly rate. The remaining salary scales will apply thereafter.

Another important improvement is the addition of the FTQ Salary-Funded Pension Plan (RRFS-FTQ). Thus, workers benefit from better harmonization of their pension plan.
