This Sunday 1^is December we learned of the disappearance of Niels Arestrup at the age of 75. The French actor died on Sunday at his home in Ville-d'Avray, his wife announced, Isabelle Le Nouvel, à l'AFP: “I am extremely sad to announce the death of my husband, the immense actor Niels Arestrup, after a courageous fight against illness. He passed away surrounded by the love of his family.”. Niels Arestrup leaves behind more than sixty films, including: “My heart has stopped beating” (2006), “A prophet” (2010) et “Quai d'Orsay” (2014) – for which he was awarded the César for best actor in a supporting role – and around fifty television productions and around forty plays. He was the father of twins born in 2012.

The director Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, traces the exemplary journey of conductor Zahia Ziouani who, because she is the daughter of immigrants and grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis, had to break down a wall of prejudice and misogyny to realize her dream. A few blunders and repetitions do not spoil the pleasure of following this success story, carried by the energy of the tenacious Zahia, played without a false note by Oulaya Amara. (Rating: 2/4)
