There was no suspense during the election for the presidency of the French Field Hockey Federation last Sunday. In the offices of the Stade Yves-du-Manoir, the future federal headquarters inherited from the Paris Olympic Games, Henri-Claude Lambert, 64, was elected “in an armchair” to succeed Isabelle Jouin.
The expression is all the more justified since the opposition list led by Régis Baumgarten was invalidated at the beginning of November by the electoral operations monitoring commission. Pattern ? One of his running mates had not obtained his license at the time of submitting his candidacy. A request for appeal to the CNOSF having been unsuccessful, the Federation's Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee, also referred to by Mr. Baumgarten, confirmed the non-compliance of its list with current regulations, leaving the way clear to Henri-Claude Lambert and his project called Cap Développement.
