Screening-debate organized by the Imagine&Mots association, in the presence of the film's production assistant and scientific advisor, Yann Caroff. “Witnesses” is the first French documentary-fiction on near-death experiences (NDE) directed by Sonia Barkallah. The witnesses of this docufiction report disconcerting facts such as bodily detachment, vision of a tunnel, a light and extrasensory perceptions, confirmed by relatives and the medical world. The originality of his remarks is to combine the poignant, moving and disturbing testimonies of those who have lived these experiences with the analyzes of scientists, in order to identify new approaches to better understand these phenomena. Sonia Barkallah plunges us into the heart of her investigation through unpublished testimonies, beyond borders, which destabilize specialists of the brain, coma and consciousness.
