For this 34th and final meeting of the calendar year, FC Bulle presented itself with a team almost identical to the one which won against Baden. Only Zemerart Lekaj (in place of Nick Berger) joined a Bullois eleven that had been timid for a long time against a Breitenrain who had been harmless for a long time. Four embryonic actions on the Bull side, zero on the Bern side, and the two teams returned to the locker room with a goalless draw (0-0).
The second half started at the same false pace before the visitors converted their first real chance. In the 51st minute, Bernese winger Frey crossed towards Robin Golliard. The Vuadensois from Breitenrain got ahead of Wild and took the ball with his left foot at close range (0-1). Nothing to do for Ropraz who capitulated before having the slightest stop to make.
Forced to react, the Bullois took control of the game without however being really dangerous. For lack of idea or readiness in the face of the opposing goal. On the contrary, it was the Bernese who could have doubled the bet on a header from Golliard flush with the post (73rd).
The encouragement of the Gruyère public and the entry of five new players gave FC Bulle a slight boost. In the 83rd minute, Rexhaj crossed for Pinga alone at the penalty spot. The Bullois striker missed his recovery and wasted the final Bulloise opportunity. Final score of a game without much brilliance: Bulle 0, Breitenrain 1.
This final defeat of the year leaves FC Bulle in 6th place in the Promotion League. Now time for a deserved winter break before the resumption of training scheduled for January 6, 2025. The championship will resume on February 15, 2025 on the Brühl Saint-Gall field.
The reaction of Julien Miere, coach of FC Bulle: «In our goal situations, we were often not well positioned in the box (the penalty area). Opposite, Breitenrain had an action with Robin (Golliard) who was able to finish it thanks to his sense of goal. It’s football… That said, I have nothing to reproach my players today (Saturday). They gave everything on very complicated terrain.»
FC Bulle – Breitenrain 0-1 (0-0)
But: 51st Golliard (0-1).
