The driver was slightly injured by a passenger. She was prescribed three days of ITT, while the suspect was quickly identified and arrested.
A bus driver was attacked by a passenger in Briançon (Hautes-Alpes) this Tuesday, November 26, BFM DICI learned. An altercation broke out between the driver of the Altigo network and a woman who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
The tone rose, and the quarrel turned into violence when the passenger threw a can of beer in the driver's face. Slightly injured and shocked, the victim, aged 61, was placed under arrest for three days.
Psychological fragility
The attacker, for her part, was identified and arrested. This 38-year-old woman, already known to the courts for various misdeeds, suffers from psychological fragility but is not irresponsible for her actions.
“Gendarmes, police officers or bus drivers, people who exercise a public service must feel protected. The indictment will be presented in court this Thursday,” declared Marion Lozac’hmeur, public prosecutor of Gap, to BFM DICI.
According to our information, the attacker, currently in police custody, could be placed under judicial supervision with an obligation of care. Contacted this Wednesday evening, the mayor of the town Arnaud Murgia provides “all his support for this bus driver” and wishes to “denounce all forms of violence”.
