Lanaudière Crisis Services are proud to announce the opening of their new facility in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies.

After three years of development, this relocation marks a turning point for the organization, allowing it to offer improved and more accessible services to people in crisis in the region. The new facility, with twelve beds and a calm and soothing environment, is designed to promote healing and effectively meet the growing demand.

Ms. Suzanne Filion, president of the organization, emphasizes the importance of this progress: “Our new home is a haven for those going through difficult times. With comfortable individual rooms and safe facilities, it is also designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility. With this new facility, we are strengthening our commitment to improving mental health and the well-being of the community.”

Strategically located, this house combines rural tranquility and proximity to urban services. The house will welcome its first residents on June 14.

The inauguration took place on June 13, 2024 in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies in the presence of Mr. François St-Louis, Member of Parliament for Joliette, Ms. Suzanne Dauphin, Mayor of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, Ms. Annie Plante, Deputy Director General – Social and Rehabilitation Programs of the CISSS de Lanaudière, as well as numerous partners.

Visitors were able to explore the premises, meet the Lanaudière Crisis Services team and celebrate with them at a cocktail party following the official cutting of the inauguration ribbon.

It was a significant moment in the history of the organization to move forward together towards a future where psychological support is accessible to all.
