A blood donation in a unique and unusual place

It is in a unique location that the French Blood Establishment is carrying out a major fundraising in Le Mans this Wednesday. This meeting is organized within the Plongeoir-Cité du Cirque.

“The shelf life of blood products is short: 7 days for platelets and 42 days for red blood cells. Donating regularly is vital : 4 times a year maximum for a woman and 6 times a year maximum for a man,” recalls the Cénomane association for blood donation.

Next to 80 donors blood is expected.

Bike ride

Two bike rides are organized this Wednesday from the city center of Le Mans:

• from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. : 15 km routeon a fairly quiet circuit allowing you to discover little-known routes. The start will be at Place du Jet d’Eau. Free. • from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: bike ride along the from Sarthe and Huisne to discover the bridges, thanks to a tour guide. Departure from the Maison du Pilier Rouge. From 4 to 6 euros. Information and reservations on 02 43 28 17 22.

Show off your skills at an open stage!

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Red Square of the Théâtre des Quinconces proposes a open stage. “Do you sing, dance, juggle or all three at once?! This open stage is the moment to show off your talents in front of a welcoming audience,” states the Scène nationale du Mans on its website.

Wednesday should be a day marked by the clouds. Except for the morning when the sun might break through, the afternoon should be more sullenin Sarthe. No rain forecast, however.
