Two individuals of Moldovan nationality arrested for tags around 2 a.m., in the 9th arrondissement of Paris this Thursday. linked with Russia’s war in Ukraine, - learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office. The two suspects wrote the slogans half a dozen times using stencils:Stop Death Now” and “Mriya. Ukraine”, with a drawing of a coffin. They are being prosecuted for damage in a meeting and criminal association.

The tags were made on the building which houses the newspaper Le Figaro, according to a police source. During their arrest, the two suspects, questioned about their motivations, declared that they had been paid 100 euros everyone to make these tags.

Other tags linked to Ukraine were discovered this Tuesday in the 2nd, 5th and 9th arrondissements of Paris, recalled the prosecution. They were also made using a stencil and spray paint, and depict a coffin-shaped fighter plane with the inscription “Mirages for Ukraine”. An investigation into “degradations during meetings and criminal conspiracy” has been opened.

“French soldiers in Ukraine”

As a reminder, on the night of June 6 to 7, tags representing coffins with the words “French soldiers in Ukraine” were painted in the 7th arrondissement. Three Moldovans had been arrested the following night, then indicted for slight damage in a meeting, and placed under the status of assisted witness for participation in a criminal association. They were left free.
Earlier five coffins were discovered on Saturday June 1 in the morning at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, left with a banner “French soldiers of Ukraine”. Three men were taken into custody.
