A civil security exercise “Grand Couesques Dam” is organized by the Aveyron prefecture on Thursday November 28, 2024. Bordering municipalities may also be affected by FR-ALERT, including in the departments of Lot and Cantal (Cadrieu, Cajarc, Capdenac, Cuzac, Faycelles, Frontenac, Larnagol, Laroque-Toirac, Lentillac-Saint-Blaise, Lunan, Montbrun , Montredon, Saint-Pierre Toirac, Cassaniouze, Lapeyrugue, Montmurat, Montsalvy, Oldlife).
The population alert and information system (SAIP)
The national alert signal will be triggered in three successive cycles lasting 1m41s each, separated by a brief silence. A second sound signaling the end of the alert with a single cycle lasting 20 seconds will occur in the following 8 municipalities: Boisse-Penchot; Bouillac; Capdenac-Gare; Decazeville; Entraygues-sur-Truyère; Flagnac; Livinhac-le-Haut; Saint-Parthem.

The foghorns of La Rivière and Couesques Basses (communes of Saint-Hippolyte), traditionally intended to signal the imminent rupture of the structure, will sound.
