“L’Orient-le Jour” reveals the 13 points of the ceasefire agreement. The Lebanese newspaper obtained the full text of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, it revealed this Tuesday evening. The 13 points of agreement are as follows:
– Hezbollah and all other armed organizations present on Lebanese territory will refrain from carrying out any offensive action against Israel.
– In return, Israel will not carry out any offensive military action against targets in Lebanon, whether on land, in the air or at sea.
– Israel and Lebanon recognize the importance of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
– These commitments do not take away from Israel and Lebanon their inherent right to self-defense.
– Security forces and the Lebanese army will be the only entities authorized to carry weapons or deploy troops in southern Lebanon.
– The sale, supply or production of weapons and related materials in Lebanon will be supervised by the Lebanese government.
– All unauthorized facilities related to the production of weapons and related materials will be dismantled.
– All infrastructure and military positions not in compliance with these commitments will be dismantled, and all unauthorized weapons will be confiscated.
– A committee approved by Israel and Lebanon will be established to oversee and assist in the implementation of these commitments.
– Israel and Lebanon will report any violation of these commitments to this committee and to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
– Lebanon will deploy official security forces and the army along all borders of the crossing points and the line defined for the southern zone, as described in the deployment plan.
– Israel will gradually withdraw from the area south of the Blue Line within up to 60 days.
– The United States will strengthen indirect negotiations between Israel and Lebanon to reach an internationally recognized land border.
