“The welcome in Locunolé was beyond our expectations”

Recently, it was while working in the Antilles that they had the idea of settling somewhere in Brittany, in their family environment and proposing the idea of healthy and simple catering, outdoors, with local local produce as a food base.

They have just created their company Cap’Taine mousse, in memory of their crossing of the Atlantic by sailboat. Clémence was the captain and Romane the cabin boy.

“In the Antilles, this type of guinguette can be found everywhere, explains the duo. The furniture is made from what can be found on site, in all simplicity. All you need are a few tools. With some ideas and DIY skills, that’s it. And everyone is happy.” Here, the furniture is made from reclaimed pallets.

“On our return to France, we contacted several town halls in the Concarneau region and visited various remarkable sites. The welcome in Locunolé was beyond our expectations. Hence our choice. Making the town live well will be our objective.”

A cabin will house the kitchen and, for customers, various recycled materials will serve as tables and chairs. The guinguette will be operational as soon as an electricity meter is installed on the site, that is, after Wednesday July 3.
