As revealed by the newspaper The Teamthe New Zealand Rugby federation is working to organize a match against the French XV during the summer tour in 2025. This was confirmed on Tuesday by the president of the French Rugby Federation (FFR) Florian Grill.
After their prestigious victory on November 17 at the Stade de France (30-29), the Blues must play three test matches against New Zealand in the summer of 2025. But one of these matches could therefore take place in the United States , as had already been the case twice for the All Blacks against other teams in the past.

“The request” from the New Zealand federation “is not finalized,” declared Florian Grill, believing that “sportingly this questions us” but that he saw an interest in “promoting rugby” with a view to the Cup. of the world 2031 in the United States.
In an interview with AFP during his campaign for World Rugby, FFR vice-president Abdelatif Benazzi also mentioned a match “in Las Vegas” against New Zealand. “It’s a specific region. They have their own sport, but women's rugby and rugby has its place. But we must do it with Americans and also with the support of a few major nations,” he explained.
Benazzi had also considered other events to be organized in the United States, such as the Nations Cup final, which will replace the summer and fall matches from 2026.
