Storm Bert continues to blow in . The windy episode continues this Monday, November 25, 2024, with always departments on alert for wind (and a few for rain-floods).

Gusts of up to 120 km/h expected

This Monday morning, the wind accelerates and reaches 100-110 km/h, particularly in Lyonnais, the Givors sector, as far as the northern plains of Auvergne and Saône-et-Loire. In the Haute-Loire valleys, values could reach or exceed 120 km/h.

« Ces winds weaken Monday morning on the Pyrenees, Monday at the beginning of the afternoon on the Massif Central, and rather in the middle of the afternoon on the side, as well as towards the Saône-et-Loire”, informs the weather organization in its bulletin of 6am.

In connection with the “Bert” depression, the south-southeast wind has strengthened in the departments placed on orange alert.

Météo-France

Please note, uncertainty persists over the chronology for the release of the event, which may therefore possibly be modified in future bulletins.

Weather consistent with seasonal norms this week

Even if the wind will continue to blow, the temperatures will not be freezing. But cooler than this weekend when we saw the thermometer rise sharply.

“A cold front will sweep across France, mild air will arrive from the west during the day on Monday. Then, temperatures will remain relatively high, but nothing like what we are experiencing this Sunday. In the northern half, it will almost be seasonal,” meteorologist Guillaume Séchet explained to us for a previous article.

Colder weather, consistent with seasonal norms for the month of November, will therefore set in for the week.
