During the broadcast of the first part of the review of season 19 of Love is in the pré, Valentin was indeed present and in good company! Indeed, his love story with Flavie still lasts. The 21-year-old, who revealed her cancer on the show, is doing better thanks to her treatments. Faced with this ordeal, the dairy cow breeder was very courageous and above all did not stop supporting the one who now makes his heart beat. For TV News, Valentin spoke exclusively to return once again to this fabulous adventure that changed his life!

TV News : Are you still in a relationship with Flavie since the filming of the report?

Valentin : My answer is yes, I am still with Flavie.

How is your relationship going?

Things are going well, Flavie returned to work at the beginning of October after finishing her treatment at the end of September. So, we only see each other on weekends.

How did she experience having to talk about her illness on the show?

She was the one who wanted to talk about it. I wasn't particularly ready at the beginning. Either way, she made the choice to do it. We followed, no problem. It was better that she announced it rather than leaking it to the media.

In the show, we see that you were afraid of seeing Flavie without her hair. How are you experiencing it now? Is it better?

She had no choice but to cut them off. The first week, I didn't want to see her because I wasn't ready. With time, you get used to it, but it's not easy.

You were at the beginning of your relationship when you learned of his illness. Have you thought about stopping everything so as not to have to face this ordeal?

When she told me by phone, because she had just left her doctor's office, I was on the farm working. She told me: 'You stop everything, I need to talk to you.' But I immediately told him: 'In any case, I'm following you and I'll be with you until the end.' I have a past that isn't all rosy either. I always got back up, so I'm not one problem away.

Did you have the support of the show's psychologist during this period?

I had to. She contacted me and, in the end, I never called her back. It might have done me some good if I contacted her, but I managed to do without. I don't really like anything psychologist-related, because a few years ago, when I went to see one, it wasn't the best of the best. Fortunately, I have good friends. There is family, of course, which is important, but there are also good friends.

What has the show L’amour est dans le pré brought you, besides finding love?

Lots of things. First of all, it opened my mind! When we do L’amour est dans le pré, we have to talk about ourselves. I never talked about myself. Talking about yourself in public was impossible for me. I succeeded, it took some time, some candy to do it. We have a production that is adorable. We also meet the other farmers and we all become friends. And personally, I would even say that it is a virtual family.

What do you think of the couples formed this season?

The point of the show is to find love. This year there are 8 couples out of 12, it's already a good track record all the same. It is not possible to make it 100%. It's like the baccalaureate, it's the same, you can't do a 100%, but it's already beautiful. And it's not because some people didn't find it during the show that they can't find it afterwards. They are going to collect letters. And there, after the release of the report, we will launch a call for applications for those who are alone.

You confessed in front of the cameras that you were no longer used to living with a woman. Is it smooth with Flavie now?

It's going well, there's no problem. It disrupts my habits. For the moment, Flavie doesn't live with me, we'll see about that next spring. But it's normal that there is change, it's normal that things stick too. This summer, during her treatment, she convalesced at home. We spent a summer together.

Do you speak baby?

Before having one, given the treatment she has just had, you have to wait at least two years.

There is a sequence in L'amour est dans le pré where we see you in disposable underwear during a massage…

Is that really on TV?

Aren't you too embarrassed to be filmed in this outfit?

If it hadn't happened, it would have been fine. Even if it meant looking like an idiot, it was a discovery because I had never worn that.

What do you think of the editing of the show? Is it true to what you experienced during the adventure?

It's consistent. Sometimes, as there are a lot of things filmed, they cut, they plan. Sometimes there may be a sentence that can be misinterpreted. But otherwise, I find it rather benevolent. Those around me and those I meet tell me the same thing. The job is well done.

The show brought you new notoriety. How do you handle this?

People are happy because they see us. You have to play the game. Afterwards, I can make someone happy for an hour, or even a day, because they crossed paths with me. However, I am not the good Samaritan. It's crazy! From the moment we appear on TV, people put us on a pedestal. And I don't understand why, because I haven't changed compared to before. I remain the same.

What is your relationship with Karine Le Marchand today?

Personally, I don't have his 06 in my phone. But I know that if I have a problem or want to call her, she will be there.

What is your fondest memory of the adventure?

The adventure itself is magical and magnificent. On the other hand, in the adventure, there are bad points.

Which ones?

The main thing is Ilona's departure. I'm disappointed she didn't say goodbye to me. We do everything we can to welcome two contenders into our home. We open our house anyway. We do everything to make it go well and then, behind it, she slams the door, goodbye. This is the only time I didn't control the filming of the show. Because overall I was in control, I enjoyed running the business.

Have you been asked to participate in love seen from the meadow? Would this possibly interest you?

Yes, that would interest me.

Have you kept the gifts your suitors received during speed dating?

I couldn't keep everything. Because I ate the candy! (laughs)

Your grandmother is very present in your life. How are things going with Flavie?

It's going well, even very well. If for X reasons, I can't go eat at my grandmother's for lunch, I'll send Flavie. Because my grandmother is very kind, adorable. On the other hand, if we're not there, she doesn't eat. She is also very happy that I have a girlfriend.
