The National Rally comes out on top in the first round of the legislative elections in Yonne. Candidates from Jordan Bardella’s party and Marine Le Pen are leading in the first round in the 3 constituencies of Yonne.

A duel like in 2022 in the 1st constituency

In the first constituency, that of Auxerre and Puisaye, outgoing RN deputy Daniel Grenon leads the first round with 40.04% of the votes, while the candidate of the New Popular Front, Florence Loury, is second with 25.34%. Disappointment for Victor Albrecht of Renaissance who will not manage to stay in the second round and achieves 11.83%. Disappointment also for Céline Bähr of LR who collects 14.40% of the votes. This poor result of the right has also made Charles d’Astorg, the number 2 of LR in the department, react. “I am very sad for my political family” he said, denouncing the isolated initiative of Céline Bähr and former MP Guillaume Larrivé.

These provisional results are based on 71.92% of ballots counted.

The left-wing candidate withdraws from the second round in the 2nd constituency

In the 2nd constituency, that of Avallon, Chablis and Tonnerre in particular, the results are final. Voters voted in 44.51% for the candidate who wore the dual RN/LR hat, Sophie-Laurence Roy. The outgoing Horizons MP, André Villiers, came in 2nd place with 29.33% of the votes cast. The candidate of the New Popular Front, Philippe Veyssiere, received 19.50% of the votes. He qualified for the second round but the mayor of Asquins declared that he would not continue and called for a vote “against the RN”. These results are final

Julien Odoul elected in the first round in the 3rd

In the 3rd constituency, it is also definitive: the RN candidate Julien Odoul comes very far in the lead with 50.44% of the votes, against 25.51% for Nicolas Soret, the socialist mayor of Joigny, candidate of the New Popular Front. The outgoing deputy is therefore re-elected in the first round.

The presidential majority candidate Michèle Crouzet, from the Modem, won 17.51% of the vote.
