In Saint-Genis-Laval, La Mouche is not only a theatre, but also a cinema. And this summer, during the first half of July, it is relaunching Les CinéMoucherons: a programme of films for children, enriched with creative workshops and snacks.

The CinéMoucherons programming

The poster features films that have been released very recently in cinemas, such as the ecological fable The 4 souls of the coyote (from 10 years old) or the very media-friendly Vice-versa 2 (from 9 years old) that we both particularly liked at Grains of Salt.

The program also includes films from a few years ago, such as Ariol takes the plane (ages 5 and up), a big-screen transposition of the universe of a character with big ears who needs no introduction. Younger children, ages 3 and up, will undoubtedly enjoy the program of gentle short films from Leo’s Little World.

The Fly finally highlights a gem released in cinemas 20 years ago: The balloon trip (ages 4 and up) which tells the story of a hot air balloon expedition by a group of small creatures.

Workshops and snacks after the screenings

In response to some of these screenings, La Mouche is offering a series of workshops for young film enthusiasts. For example, they can try their hand at making thaumatropes or creating movie posters. A refreshing snack will also follow some of the sessions. These holidays are off to a good start, aren’t they?
