Based on information from the gendarmes of Ille-et-Vilaine, those of the Niort company learned that a “free party” was taking place in Deux-Sèvres. On site, half an hour later, shortly before midnight, they were able to observe a gathering in the Guignefolle valley in Échiré, several hundred meters from the A83 and under a railway bridge of the line of Thouars-Niort freight.
Around 150 people were present at this festive gathering with techno music in the background. Continuous surveillance was ensured throughout the night by the police. From 8 a.m., this Sunday, November 24, 2024, checks were carried out by around ten gendarmes from Coulonges-sur-l'Autize, Saint-Maixent, the La Crèche motorway platoon and the Niort motorized brigade.
Around thirty people were fined for “noise nuisance” each leaving with a fine of €135. Two people tested positive for drugs, which led to the withdrawal of their driving licenses. And one last person on a scooter was fined because they were not wearing a helmet.
