Gabriel Attal clearly in the lead in Hauts-de-Seine with 43.93% of the vote

Can he really rejoice given the national context? Gabriel Attal, who is preparing to say “goodbye” to Matignon, can console himself by seeing his score in the first round of the legislative elections in the 10th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine. According to the first results, albeit partial, the Prime Minister collected 43.93% of the votes in the 5th constituency of the department.

He is almost eight points ahead of the candidate of the New Popular Front, Cécile Soubelet, who obtained 35.64%, according to these results based on 92.3% of the ballots counted. In 2022, he had already won with 60% of the votes against the latter.

“Not a single vote should go to the RN”

A little earlier in the evening, he made an unambiguous speech on the course of action to take: “we must prevent the RN from having an absolute majority, from dominating the national assembly and therefore from governing. Not a single vote should go to the RN.” As a result, he called on the majority candidates who came in third place to withdraw.
