The first round of these legislative elections confirms the wave of National gathering to European has Abbeville (1st constituency of the Somme).
The outgoing MP beaten in the first round by the RN
The turnout is around 60%.
The outgoing MP François Ruffin (New Popular Front) is beaten in the 17 polling stations in the capital of maritime Picardy by the candidate of the National Rally Nathalie Ribeiro-Billet.
The candidate of the presidential majority Albane Branlant arrive en 3e position.
Results in Abbeville
Results from all 17 polling stations in Abbeville:
Nathalie Ribeiro-Billet: 4155 votes (41.6%)
François Ruffin: 2948 votes (29.5%)
Albane Branlant: 2522 votes (25.29%)
Bruno Dumont: 207 votes (2%)
Jean-Patrick Baudry: 140 votes (1.4%)
François Ruffin also beat Flixecourt
In Flixecourt, François Ruffin’s stronghold, the outgoing deputy also lost the RN candidate. François Ruffin totaled 478 votes against 734 for Nathalie Ribeiro-Billet and 166 votes for Albane Branlant.
We are therefore heading towards a triangular for the second round of these 2024 Legislative elections on July 7 in the 1st constituency of the Somme if the candidate of the presidential majority remains.
