Police officers who came to the aid of ambulance drivers were attacked on Monday July 1 in Toulouse by teenagers who had consumed a lot of alcohol.

Massive alcohol consumption among teenagers late Monday led to a complicated police intervention near a Toulouse home. Ambulances were first called to help a 16-year-old girl who was drunk. But she decided not to follow them.

The police were called to calm the teenager down and convince her to let the paramedics do their job. But she continued to gesticulate, joined by other teenagers in the same state.

Use of tear gas

The girl finally collapsed. Teenagers started hitting her. One of them physically attacked the police officers who were pushing them back. They had to use tear gas. But the most virulent one started again.

At the time of his arrest, he threatened to kill a police officer and bit him several times as he got into the car. He struggled violently while the girl, who had woken up, came to his aid. Once again, the officers used tear gas. The 17-year-old was taken into custody. The police were to file a complaint.
