A resident of Vaucluse discovers a dangerous element in a frozen minced steak

Alerted, the Departmental Directorate for Population Protection (DDPP) has opened an investigation to determine the origin of this contamination.

The man, an animator by profession, recounted his experience to Blue .

From the first bites, he noticed a strange texture in the meat.

While searching the rest of the steak, he made an even more disturbing discovery: a second piece of glass, intact. This father immediately worried for the safety of his young son.

The man reported the incident to the DDPP, to which he sent a photo of the steak and the batch number of the frozen meat. At the same time, the brand Picard contacted the victim to obtain information on the product concerned. The DDPP has since opened an investigation to understand how such pieces of glass could have ended up in the meat.

This incident raises questions about the production chain and quality controls of food products. The presence of pieces of glass in a product intended for human consumption represents a serious risk, especially for children.

So far, no other similar complaints have been reported. However, this type of incident highlights the need for increased vigilance in the manufacturing and packaging of frozen food products. The conclusions of the investigation will make it possible to determine whether this contamination is the result of a one-off problem or a more systemic flaw in the production chain. In the meantime, this mishap reminds us how essential it is to be attentive to what we consume, even when it comes to products from large, reputable brands.
