Follow our live coverage of this election evening in the first constituency of Finistère (Briec, Fouesnant, Quimper). Find the results municipality by municipality.

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, the French are called to vote in the first round of early legislative elections.

Six candidates are seeking the mandate of deputy in the first constituency from Finistère. It includes in particular the municipalities of Quimper, Briec and Fouesnant.

Polling stations closed at 6 p.m. Counting is underway.

A historic participation rate

The City of Quimper announced the turnout, estimated at 65.24% at 4:30 p.m. It was 27.27% at 11:30 a.m.

The Finistère Prefecture has communicated a record participation rate in the department : 68.26% at 5 p.m. In 2022, it was 44.38% at the same time.

Six candidats

Grégory Lebert, from Europe Écologie Les Verts (EELV), was invested under the label of New Popular Front. At 45, this social worker from Coray had already represented the left alliance in 2022.

Outgoing MP Annaïg Le Meur is a candidate for the presidential majority Together. Aged 51, she was elected in 2017, then re-elected in 2022.

Alain Le Grand, 53, is the vice-president of the Departmental Council in charge of human resources. He represents The Republicans in these elections.

Christel Hénaff, 55, is the candidate for National RallyShe is a customer advisor.

Serge Hardy, 56 years old, candidate for the party Workers’ struggle. He is a teacher in a vocational high school in Brest.

For her part, France Herman represents Reconquest. This 60-year-old resident of Fouesnant is a marketing trainer.

In 2022, the duel between Annaïg Le Meur and Grégory Lebert

As a reminder, here are the results of the first round of the legislative elections in the first constituency of Finistère. This election took place on June 12, 2022 :

  • Annaïg Le Meur (The Republic on the Move): 35.49%
  • Gregory Lebert (Nupes): 32.08%
  • Christel Hénaff (National Rally): 10.87%
  • Isabelle Ménard (Union of Independent Democrats): 7.36%
  • Georges-Philippe Fontaine (dissident Les Républicains): 4.61%
  • France Herman (Reconquest!): 3.63%
  • Bernard Le Rest (Breton Democratic Union): 2.47%
  • Thierry Billard (Les Patriotes): 1.28%
  • Izold Guégan (Regionalists): 1.20%
  • Elisabeth Piro (Workers’ Struggle): 1.01%

In the second round, on June 19, 2022, Annaïg Le Meur won with 53.89% of the vote against Grégory Lebert (46.11%).
