Pas-de-Calais: she gives birth in her car… for the second time in one!

Force of habit probably. During the night from Friday to last Saturday, Laura, a young woman living in the Somme, gave birth to a little boy in her vehicle, as reported by La Voix du Nord. A not so exceptional event for the mother since it is the second time in a year that this has happened to him.

When she leaves her home in Contalmaison located in the Somme department, accompanied by Régis, her companion, to go to the maternity ward of the Arras hospital center (CHA), the contractions are already well present. So, on the way to motherhood, the couple had to stop at the side of the road. And a few minutes later, little Loëvann arrived on earth. A pretty baby weighing 3.285 kg and 50.5 centimeters. His place of birth? Boiry-Sainte-Rictrude (Pas-de-Calais), 25 kilometers from home and only ten from the place of birth.

An unusual birth which was not really unusual for these young parents. “Ily At one year old, we have already experienced this same situation, this time on the Arras ring road, not far from Auchan where our daughter Leanne was born before arriving at the maternity ward. So we are used to it », Recalls the father of the family to La Voix du Nord. For the mayor of this town, this birth is almost a blessing, the last birth recorded in the town dating back to 1980. And imagine that it was… little Loëvann’s uncle.

This is not the first time this year that a birth has taken place in a car. Last February, little Nolan was born in his parents' carin Quimper (Finistère). And in October, a resident of Yvelines gave birth on the emergency lane of the A13 motorway to little Victoria helped by her husband.
