This Saturday, November 23, during the first day of the Gastronomy Fair which takes place at the Chorus Exhibition Center in , the 18th edition of the competition for the best almond pancake in the department took place. 17 candidates passed before a jury of five people, including Eric Blancho, president of the Morbihan Interdepartmental Bakery Federation and Jacques Annonier, president of the jury and best bakery worker in .

It's time for visitors to the Salon de la Gastronomie to taste the pancakes from the competition for the best almond pancake in Morbihan.

Cooking and decor

Participants had to respect a few criteria: cooking, decoration of the cake, almond or frangipane cream, foliage and balancing. The first six will go to the regional competition on December 4 in . The big winner is Thomas Arhuero from Fournil des trois rois in Vannes, followed by Romain Marguerite from Maison Marguerite in Noyal-Pontivy, Loïc Doucet from the Crespin bakery in in third position.
