the musical arrives at the Dôme de this Friday, November 22

After triumphing last year at the Folies Bergère in , the musical “Dirty Dancing, the original story on stage” is making its comeback, this time in French version, at the Dôme de Paris, until December 29.

We are not leaving Paris in a corner! After captivating more than 10 million spectators around the world, the musical comedy “Dirty Dancing” arrives at the Dôme de Paris on Friday, November 22, in a new production totally faithful to the cult 1987 film.

The public will be immersed in the unforgettable summer of Bébé and Johnny, two young people from opposite worlds, but united by an intense and rhythmic romance. After auditioning 2,700 candidates, the production retained Michael O'Reilly, who has played Patrick Swayze on stage for six years in London.

“The energy of Paris is contagious, the dishes fantastic… The steak, the wine, wonderful! But the coffee is really not good. I read the text three times a day. The most difficult thing is grammar,” he shared with Le Parisien.

New talents

Justine Marec, a young talent on the French scene, will play Baby for the first time. Her resemblance to Jennifer Gray is striking: same curly hair, same silhouette, and surprisingly, she has the same voice as that of the French dubbing of the film.

The “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack became one of the best-selling records of all time, with songs such as “She's Like the Wind,” “Hungry Eyes,” and notably “(I've Had) The Time of My Life,” which won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1988.

Lovers of music, dance, musicals or even cult films will be transported to the 1960s, thanks to striking choreography, iconic songs, and of course cult lines.

“Dirty Dancing”, until December 29, Dôme de Paris (Paris 15th).
