It was a witness who raised the alarm when the gale linked to the passage of the storm Bert had already arrived in Calvados. Saturday November 23, 2024, a windsurfer in difficulty had to be rescued off the coast of Hermanville-sur-Mer. To help him, a light lifeboat and a rescue and victim assistance vehicle from the Calvados departmental fire and rescue service were mobilized, as was the semi-rigid from the SNSM station in Ouistreham.
