A work initiated by coach Idriss Hassini who had given himself a clear objective: “We were looking for players who put the collective before the personal and that is achieved with this recruitment.”

Experienced recruits

In the papers for several weeks (one of the only big advantages of knowing about relegation in advance), the Auch club was thus able to formalize its five new recruits at the end of June:

– Abdou Malcolm, 24 years old, Saint-Simon: very impactful offensive player who moves quickly with a strong elimination capacity.

– Guillaume Catteau, 35 years old, Plaisance-du-Touch: experienced central defender with strong heading skills and a strong capacity for anticipation.

– David Casimiro, 26 years old, Pavia, return to the club: very interesting player with also a good elimination capacity and speed. He can play in several positions.

– Alan Jérôme, 34 years old, Plaisance-du-Touch: sideways player with a nice right leg, hard on the man, defends very well and excels in one-on-one situations.

– Mohamed Hadefi, Seysses: experienced regional goalkeeper, he brings his experience, his qualities and his good humor to the group.

“Our best recruitment is being able to keep the boys”

During a transfer window, the challenge is also to manage to keep your talents. A challenge that is all the greater after a relegation. “I insist on it, our best recruitment is to have been able to keep the boys”, rejoices Idriss Hassini in this sense.

The 2024-2025 season is well and truly launched on Éric Carrière’s side, with managers and players who intend to raise the bar.
