On June 18, CieNOV, the organization mandated to ensure the economic development of the MRC of L’Assomption, presented its annual report and prospects for the coming years during the event “CieNOV in action: Report and perspectives 2024-2025 “.
Significant progress in interventions
In 2023, the CieNOV team of advisors carried out 367 interventions with businesses and promoters, marking an increase of 24.8% compared to 2022. The end of the emergency aid program for small and medium-sized businesses ( PAUPME) allowed the team to devote itself fully to field work.
CieNOV’s general manager, Joffrey Bouchard, was able to proudly present the highlights of the past year. CieNOV in action was the perfect opportunity to introduce our dedicated team and celebrate our achievements. It was also a valuable moment to present and highlight the importance of our services for entrepreneurs and municipalities in the territory. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of our advisors, we continue to actively support local economic development, responding to the evolving needs of our community and strengthening our relationships with our municipalities and strategic partners,” said Joffrey Bouchard.

New administrator
CieNOV Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jacques Prescott, expressed his gratitude to the partners and the team for their contributions to the achievements of the past year. “I am proud of what we accomplished in 2023. This year was marked by overcoming challenges and shared successes, made possible thanks to your unwavering support and our teamwork,” he said. He also announced the arrival of Ms. Chantal Després to the board of directors, adding: “Chantal Després brings a vision and expertise that will be valuable assets for our organization. His appointment is essential to strengthen our governance and strategically guide our organization into the future.”
Tourism and entrepreneurial succession
Two priority files were presented by Martine Daoust, director of local development and business services, during this annual review: tourism and entrepreneurial succession. Maryse Lepage, commissioner for the development of tourism offerings, works with municipalities and tourism stakeholders to create an attractive tourism offering. At the same time, CieNOV is committed to supporting entrepreneurial succession by offering resources and support to sellers and buyers, thus ensuring the continuity of local businesses.
