• A shooting in front of the reception hall

The incident took place at the Eden Palace, a reception hall specialising in weddings, where around a hundred people were present. The establishment is located in a commercial area outside Thionville.

“It was during a wedding. A group of individuals, around 1:15 in the morning, went out to smoke in front of the room and then three heavily armed guys arrived and opened fire several dozen times in their direction.”a police source reported.

The attackers arrived in a 4×4, probably BMW brand »according to the same source. Investigators are still unaware of the vehicle’s origin, particularly whether it came from Germany or Luxembourg, whose borders are about fifteen kilometers away.

• One dead and five injured

The attackers were armed with shotguns and handguns, he said. France Blue. Their attack left one person dead and five others injured. Two of them are seriously injured and a third person is in a desperate condition, a police source told AFP.

The police did not provide further details at this stage on the profile of the injured people and the deceased individual. The local newspaper Republican Lorraine specifies that the person killed is probably a man aged around twenty.
