The Galibier already makes us salivate… Follow with us the 4th stage between Pinerolo and Valloire…

Know it, we are going to have a great time for sure (or almost) this Tuesday on the roads of the Tour de France. So forget this third stage that was not very exciting between Piacenza and Turin (we have to think about the sprinters from time to time), we are entering something very heavy this Tuesday, when the riders join France. Hang on, we will be treated to the 40 km of climbing of the Col de Sestrières (at 3.7%, category 2) as an aperitif, plus the Col de Montgenèvre (8.3 km at 5.9%, category 2), plus as a highlight the legendary Col du Galibier (23 km at 5.1% in hors catégorie, via the Lautaret).

Needless to say, after this, we will have real clues about the fitness of double defending champion Jonas Vingegaard, who arrived on the Grande Boucle without a single race under his belt since his serious injury three months earlier. While he was not unhappy to give up his yellow jersey to Richard Carapaz on Monday, his favourite rival Tadej Pogacar will inevitably test the Dane with such a playing field. And we are delighted, the show will be total between Pinerolo and Valloire.

>> Don’t miss a crumb of this 4th stage of the Tour de France, the first mountain stage of this 2024 edition, which will start at 1:15 p.m.
