Like last year, the national event will stop in Roanne, on the Bords de Loire esplanade, from June 27 to 30.
The first Green Triathlon organized last summer in Roanne was a real success. It is therefore quite natural that the event returns to the region for a second edition. This will be full of events and it will all start on Thursday June 27 with the MGEN Fitdays for children. Thus, more than 500 children will be able to discover the practice of triathlon. The next day, the same thing with more than 750 children who will also have the right to an introduction to the discipline. New this year, the launch of “L’éKipée”, a child-parent family aquathlon relay with 20 meters of swimming for the child and a kilometer of running for the parent. This race will take place, still on the Bords de Loire esplanade, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday June 28. A few minutes later, it will be the turn of the 2nd stage of the Green Tour Triathlon 2024 to be launched. 40 elite triathletes will challenge themselves over 600 meters of swimming in the Loire then over 3.5 kilometers of running.
A race with… 2024 participants
The continuation of this rich program will take place on Saturday with the AURA final of the MGEN Fitdays for children at 10 a.m., which will feature more than 200 participants. All afternoon, it’s the return of “L’éKipée” with… 2,024 participants expected on a 20-kilometer bike&run! The public, expected in large numbers throughout the weekend, will be able to watch in the evening the 3rd stage of the Green Tour Triathlon reserved for the 40 elite triathletes in the run&bike relay. In the evening, a free concert is planned with all the participants of “L’éKipée”. Finally, on Sunday, June 30, from early morning, the Green Duathlon of Roanne, men and women, will kick off the day, which will conclude before noon with the start of the Duathlon S of Roanne and the Green Triathlon XS. The Green Triathlon by FITDays event in Roanne will end in the afternoon with the national final of the Fitdays MGEN for children at 2:30 p.m. Around all these races, Roanne will offer many activities to punctuate these four days of competition.
