Work on the new socio-cultural centre, affiliated with the national federation of social centres, is nearing completion.

This place, intended to bring the people of Bessa closer together, will serve as a link with civic dynamics.

Indeed, uniting residents around a listening place, modern and open to all, was the wish of the municipality, under the leadership of Laurence Thomas, elected official in charge of social affairs and the new director of the premises, located on rue des Anciennes écoles, Pauline Fabre.

Supported by Sandrine, an agent from the communal social action center, Caroline, a receptionist, and Marion, a digital advisor, the five women were quick to set up the center’s new program with the first interventions: a few days ago, a conference on end-of-life or bereavement support, followed at the beginning of July by an information workshop to reconnect with one’s body after a difficult life event.

Finally, in September, a conference aimed at promoting people with disabilities, allowing them to have a peaceful and successful inclusion.

Autumn will also be the season of the official inauguration of the center in conjunction with numerous partners including the Family Allowance Fund.

A center that has just found its name: L’Aparté.

Residents will thus have the opportunity to create a separate space in their lives by creating or participating in joint projects.
