Key Valley of Eure will welcome his all first Book Fair Sunday November 24, 2024. The municipality adhered to the project of Catherine Mathieuresident of the town located between Evreux and Gaillon (Eure), who wanted to organize a cultural event in the multipurpose room of La -Saint-Leufroy.

Philippe Pégué, third deputy in charge of events, culture and demonstrations, appreciates it. “This great initiative will create social bonds, a moment of exchange and sharing between authors and residents. We take care of the logistics, communication and financial aspects, including catering for the authors and volunteers.”

23 authors, all guests of honor

For this first event, there will be no headliner who will monopolize the attention of visitors. “All our authors present will be our guests of honor,” assures Catherine Mathieu.

The festival committee of La Croix-Saint-Leufroy will join the event to take care of the refreshment bar, pancakes and others. A friendship drink offered by the municipality will close this first show.

Tribute to Frida Kahlo

Alongside the show, two speakers will organize discoveries for visitors. An exhibition will be dedicated to Frida Kahlo. The Mexican painter's extraordinary history and works still captivate the world.

Lilia, originally from Mexico, will warmly welcome visitors all day to present a selection of artisanal creations inspired by the legacy and creative genius of Frida Kahlo.

Watercolor animation for children

Sébastien Hurel, resident of Écardenville-sur-Eure, will offer an animation around drawing techniques and watercolor illustration. The lights of these places attract him to the point of placing his easel on the motif. This workshop will be aimed at children (between 8 and 12 years old).

Reading by the fire on these long winter evenings, idea for Christmas gifts. the 23 authors will present and offer a varied choice in all reading categories.
