A man has been indicted for aggravated pimping, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of a teenager at the end of October in Metz (Moselle), the Grenoble public prosecutor announced on Saturday, November 23.
The 16-year-old girl was reported missing on October 23 in Metz, before being found six days later in Grenoble (Isère). She then told investigators that she had been “forced to prostitute oneself for the benefit of a man” here he is “collected money from customers, provided clothes and apartments and managed his online ad”specifies Éric Vaillant.
Three weeks later, on November 18, a man was finally arrested in Grenoble and placed in police custody. The public prosecutor assured Saturday that the “investigations carried out during the 96 hours of police custody by investigators from the family protection brigade of the Grenoble police station made it possible to establish the reality of the prostitution of the minor, in particular by studying the contents of the telephones seized”.
The suspect was indicted for aggravated pimping of a minor aged 15 to 18, kidnapping of a minor, pimping of an adult victim and for resorting to prostitution of a minor. He was remanded in custody on Friday. According to the prosecutor, several clients have also been interviewed and will be subject to criminal proceedings.
