Already at the origin of On the Bab and MariMari, Linda Lee opened, on rue Saint-Roch, On Restaurant, a Korean barbecue in a contemporary setting.
And five for Linda Lee ! After On the Bab, MariMari, Misu and Sétopa, the popess of K-Food in Paris opens On, a restaurant modern korean barbecue. Par modernunderstand different, in the atmosphere, from Sam Chic and most of the Korean BBQ restaurants who focus more on the friendly and good-natured aspect of this totem dish of Korean cuisine.
At On, Linda Lee put in reverse on a cozy and quieter atmosphere, far from the canteen atmosphere of the aforementioned addresses, a careful decoration in green and golden tones – with even small individual hoods on each of the tables which guarantee fewer grill odors on clothes.
In short, a contemporary setting and refined platesaround a unique dish: Korean barbecue. Prime rib, chicken with spicy sauce (20€), marinated beef bulgogi (22€), pork belly or even shrimp and vegetables, it is tasted here in different versions, but for each, a point of honor is placed on the quality meat marinade.
Each grilled is served with salad, sauces, assortment of banchan (kimchi, pickles and other marinated vegetables), as well as a gyeran-jjim like in Korea, the famous little steamed omelet. The quality of the products is undeniable and is felt with every bite of the tasting.
We can only advise you enough to whet your appetite with steamed ravioli (14€) garnished with shrimp, tofu and egg and fried pork fritters (15€) topped with a sweet and sour sauce, the barbecues being served just right to satisfy the appetite.
And ideal restaurant for those who want to make a korean barbecuein the greatest calm, without falling into folklore.
