The rounds of the D1 Grand Prix follow one another and unfortunately look the same for the Stade Poitevin Triathlon women’s team. Apart from a 10e rather encouraging place at the opening of the season in Fréjus, the Poitevines then had a series of problems and poor results.
First in Metz, with the withdrawal of Katy Rodda a few days before the race, injured, they finished in 16th placee and last place.

Same again this Saturday, June 29 in Bordeaux. Expected to be the team leader, Paula Del Pozo informed the staff on Thursday of her unavailability due to illness. The sanction was the same with, once again, a 16e and last place. In the scratch, the German Pia Wolf finished 47ethe Spaniards Lucia Acosta and Marina Munoz 52e et 53e while the French Valentine Jadeau-Sibileau and Zoé Lepoittevin were ranked 69th respectivelye et 73e.

Overall after three rounds, Stade Poitevin is now 15the with twelve points and is six lengths behind Brive, the first non-relegation team. “But Brive, who had a solid round in Bordeaux, will continue their comeback. We should rather aim for Châteauroux (12e20 points) or Vesoul (11e21 points). The overall level has increased considerably »estimates Emelyne Moreau, the team manager.

Before the last two rounds in Quiberon, on September 7, and the final in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, on September 14, a state of emergency is declared. “We will have to learn the lessons from this start of the season and establish the best possible teams to catch up and save ourselves. And, if necessary, we will recruit”announces Emelyne Moreau.
