Why buy in Sète?
“For several weeks, with the multiplication of media announcements concerning the drop in interest rates, we have noticed a general recovery in the local real estate market, with a return of young people and investors,” says Tom Leonardmanager of TL 7 Immo (Imobook et The Southern Mansions). Prices are holding up. In the second quarter, expect to pay 3,772 euros per square meter on average according to Meilleurs Agents: 3,446 euros for an apartment, 5,126 euros for a house (up to 7,000 euros in sought-after neighborhoods).
Neighborhoods to explore
“In Sète, the most popular area for high-end customers is Mont-Saint-Clair. It is an area where buyers are sure to have a clear view without being overlooked, to have a sunny exposure and to be sheltered from the winds,” specifies Tom Leonard.
The city center and Villeroy are also very sought after. Around Sète, the towns bordering the Etang de Thau (Mèze, Bouzigues, Loupian, Marseillan, Frontignan and Balaruc-les-Bains, etc.) are popular.
The towns located on the second line also attract first-time buyers, who often no longer have the means to buy a house in the towns adjoining the Thau lagoon.
