Saint-Louis- to counter possible crises that could shake their services: players in Education and Health join forces and resources

Education and health stakeholders want to join forces and work to ensure that there is no longer a disruption in service in the event of a health emergency or any other emergency. This is materialized through the “Education and Health Mobilized in Emergency Situations” (EduSaMu) project implemented by the Enda Santé consortium and Cosydep. The goal is to think about how to implement a local strategy to deal with all crises.

According to Doudou Fall, regional coordinator of Cosydep of Saint-Louis, the objective of this meeting which brings together health and education stakeholders revolves around the Education and Health Mobilized in Emergency Situation project. “The program is led by the Enda Santé consortium and Cosydep and it was at the end of the health crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic that people realized that the sectors most affected were health and ‘education. This is why we came together between different actors to say that we must prepare so that in the future, there will be no more interruption of service in the event of a health emergency or another. emergency,” he indicated while emphasizing the importance of pooling forces and synergizing human, material and financial resources to ward off possible crises that could shake up their services. “We have been together for two years and we have carried out advocacy, training and awareness activities for health and education stakeholders and at the end of all these activities that we have organized, we had to meet again today to see what strategy to put in place at the local level to prepare so that never again a crisis can interrupt the service, whether it be health or education. The goal was to share the results of this project,” concluded Doudou Fall.
