Storm Caetano: part of the mobile network paralyzed in Creuse

The passage of the Caetano storm, reported as one of the strongest in the last ten years in the territory, still leaves many after-effects in Creuse this Friday morning.

While 4,500 homes are still without electricity in the department, Enedis continues to intervene on the affected lines, particularly in the northern part.

The Bouygues, SFR and networks affected

Telephone networks are also particularly affected. This Friday morning, at the operator Bouygues, reports indicate breakdowns in the Guéret, La Souterraine or Bonnat sectors. The Orange network is particularly affected in the Fursac sector. The operator SFR communicates reports of breakdowns in Guéret and Tercillat in particular. The service is also out of service in Bonnat and Chéniers. A large part of the department is therefore facing these disruptions.

The main breakdowns come from the damage caused by the violent winds on Thursday and tonight. Technicians are currently working to restore the entire mobile and internet network. No timetable has yet been communicated for an upcoming return to normal.

In the event of emergency calls for help in the face of severe disturbances, the prefect of Creuse recommends using a landline or dialing 112 from a mobile phone.
