The Carrefours jeunesse-emploi (CJE) of Beauharnois, Huntingdon and Châteauguay received funding of $3,362,886 to support their efforts in favor of youth.

This amount is divided into two parts. First, $2,885,736 from the Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity which will, for the period 2024-2027, support the mission of the organization and specific activities linked to educational success.

The sum of $477,150 comes from the Ministry of Culture and Communications and will allow a new youth plan to be presented next year.

The CJEs offer services to 16-35 year olds, whether to promote educational success or integration into employment.
The deputies from the regions concerned were all happy with the support shown for young people.

“This financial support demonstrates the importance for the government of supporting crossroads
youth employment in our respective regions, underlined the member for Beauharnois, Claude Reid. The government has chosen to invest in our young people who want to take charge of their lives in order to ensure a better future for themselves.

“Our youth-employment centers improve the living conditions of young adults by
supportive in their socio-professional integration efforts, said Carole Mallette, Member of Parliament for Huntingdon. I particularly welcome their initiatives such as Vocation en Art which allow young people to promote their talents. This financial assistance will enable the continuation of their precious mission. »
