HYERES: This summer, adopt the little train of the peninsula!

This summer, make your life easier by taking the little train from the peninsula to Hyères, on Almanarre beach to the village of Giens, it’s free!

In addition to preserving nature, you will avoid traffic jams and parking difficulties. In operation from July 1 to August 31, it has a departure approximately every 30 minutes. Departure from the Almanarre nord stop, next to the main Biancotto car park, arrival Village de Giens. Don’t hesitate any longer, adopt the little train!

In order to preserve the western tombolo of the Giens peninsula and as part of the Grand Site Operation of the Giens Peninsula and the Salins d’Hyères, the City of Hyères and the TPM Metropolis have set up a small train for the past 3 years linking the Almanarre (Biancotto) car park to the village of Giens and with several stops on the beaches.

A road that narrows over the years

Given the narrow width of the salt road, the fragility of the western tombolo, and the desire to have an attractive mode of transport for visitors, the solution of a small tourist road train has been chosen since the summer of 2021. For the 2024 season, as was already the case the year before, there will be 2 small trains that will rotate and cross. They will run continuously, from July 1 to August 31, 7 days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
