The only player in integration in the territory of Interco Normandie Sud Eure (INSE), ADS emploi inaugurated its boutique last Thursday “ Infinifrip » in Breteuil (Eure). The association based in Saint-André-de-l'Eure (Eure) aims to support job seekers and help them in their professional journey.
A first step towards employment or training
Open since December 2023 in Breteuil, this thrift store employs between ten and eleven people in professional integration, on contracts of 26 hours per week, for a maximum duration of 24 months.
AlongsideEmiliethe store manager, these integration employees are trained in welcoming customers or even managing a store.
The aim is to help them find employment or training following their experience here.
An essential integration tool in the region, the Infinifrip store in Breteuil also aims to “create social connections”.
More than €404,000 for a brand new store
With a store installed in the newly renovated premises of a former haberdashery, the ADS group, chaired by Annie Gauthierwanted this place to be welcoming both for customers, but also for the staff whose well-being is a priority.
Purchased by the association in 1999, this building no longer met current health and safety standards and therefore underwent numerous renovations. A colossal project initially estimated at €314,000, and which ultimately cost more than €404,000.
This project benefited from state aid to the tune of 157 000 €but also the European Leader program, managed by the region and aimed at helping the development of projects in rural areas, up to 60 000 €. This was supplemented by a loan from the association of 200 000 €.
A new ecological dry cleaner
It is thanks to the development of a second activity within the Infinifrip store that the Euroise association was able to benefit from help from the Leader program, which notably encourages sustainable development.
Recently, the store has also offered an “ecological” dry cleaning service, an offer that is becoming rare. In this way but also by giving a second life to clothes, ADS reduces its waste and “defends the idea that we must fight against global warming”.
With this second-hand store, we also call for people to consume differently.
A second life for your clothes
The ADS group, chaired by Annie Gauthier, is committed to the environment. The association has two Infinifrip stores, in Breteuil and Verneuil. She only offers second-hand clothing. These clothes are collected in ADS Insertion containers located in several municipalities in the region, before being sorted in the Saint-André-de-l'Eure workshop. “We then ensure that they are in good condition, then they are washed and disinfected before being put on sale in our stores,” summarizes the president.
ADS thus offers a solution for the environment and for everyone's wallet. “Infinifrip stores are for everyone.” In 2023, 350 tonnes of textiles were recovered by the association instead of being thrown away.
“Since 1995”
Even if according to the general director, “there is still a way to go”, consuming differently with second hand is “in the spirit of the times”. A less expensive and more environmentally friendly solution that the ADS association had already been thinking about for several years. “We have been working on this theme since 1995.”
Very present in the south of Eure
With a store in Breteuil and Verneuilan ADS employment branch in these same two cities, a “concierge” in Chennebrun and a permanence at Ruglesaround 70% of the activity of the association based in Saint-André-de-l'Eure is in the southern Eure sector.
This integration project is financed on a daily basis by the State, the European Social Funds, the Departmental Council and INSE.
