Rabat – The Department of Maritime Fisheries announced, Thursday, the ban on the harvesting and marketing of shellfish products from the Tamri-Cap Ghir and Imi Ouaddar areas in the Agadir region, until purification total of the middle.

“The results of analyzes carried out by the National Institute of Fisheries Research (INRH) in the shellfish growing areas classified as Tamri-Cap Ghir and Imi Ouaddar in the Agadir region, denote the presence of marine toxins in the mussels at contents exceeding accepted standards,” indicates a press release from the Department of Maritime Fisheries.

Consequently, continues the same source, consumers are recommended to only purchase packaged products, bearing health identification labels and sold in authorized points of sale (official markets).
