Between stormy showers and heatwaves, “pebble” enthusiasts have a date in Sainte-Marie aux Mines, with the opening this weekend of the 52,000 m2 exhibition and sale to the general public. A 59th edition (no less!) that will allow you to have at your fingertips, all that is most beautiful on the mineral planet. Whether you are attracted by raw, cut, polished, mounted pebbles… by meteorites and other tektites but also by paleontology, you will not have enough of a day to visit the show! We prefer to warn you as there is so much diversity!
French minerals and precious stones in number… both from the crystal merchants of Mont Blanc or Isère, who came to present their harvests of the year or the raw sapphires of Auvergne or directly to put around your wrist with the superb works carried out by Alexandra Geologic Garden. Pakistanis, Indians, Moroccans, Brazilians, Argentines, Chinese, Congolese… it’s simple, more than 50 nationalities are waiting for you throughout the weekend, to present their finds of the year. In terms of tonnes presented? Frankly, it’s impossible to tell you what the Sainte-Marie aux Mines salon represents. To be convinced, you just need to walk through the entrance to let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere. We can only recommend that you have “cash” on you because if you resist the urge to buy, it’s because you’re not human!
