In the 7th district of Paris, former minister Clément Beaune was defeated by the first deputy mayor of Paris Emmanuel Grégoire.

He was narrowly elected in 2022 against Nupes candidate Caroline Mecary (50.73% against 49.27%, less than 700 votes difference). The former Minister of Transport Clément Beaune, left from the government during the last reshuffle, did not manage to keep his seat as deputy for Paris.

With 32.78% of the vote, the representative of the left wing of Macron’s party was beaten by the first deputy mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire (50.87%), elected in the first round in the 7th constituency this Sunday, June 30.

As a reminder, to qualify for the second round of the legislative elections, it was necessary to gather the votes of more than 12.5% ​​of registered voters (and not of voters).
