Friday June 28, 2024, two men aged 34 and 44 appeared in court in Quimper (Finistère) for trafficking in cannabis and cocaine. They requested and obtained a postponement of their trial.

In this case, “two kilos of cannabis and 50 g of cocaine were seized in the Châteaulin region,” the prosecutor said.

He also painted a quick portrait of the two defendants:

They are not big bad guys but traffickers-consumers who find themselves in a precarious situation.

“20 joints a day”

Both live from Solidarity labor income (RSA). They have no jobs. The thirty-year-old, with 14 convictions, admitted to smoking “20 joints a day.”

At the end of July, he was to have an electronic bracelet fitted for driving under the influence of drugs. “Yes, he is an intermediary who collects products but he is only a consumer. He has no lifestyle,” his lawyer argued.

The defense argued for their placement under judicial supervision. The court did not grant his request and pronounced the maintenance of the two individuals in pre-trial detention. They will be judged on Tuesday July 23, 2024.
