A petition launched

The animal rights association has launched a petition to ask Boulangerie Louise to “provide evidence of changes to its chicken meat supplies”.

L214 specifies that the sign had engaged in 2024 to:

  • Stop sourcing from chicken farms that practice extensive genetic selection,
  • Put an end to the crowding of animals up to 20 individuals per m2,
  • Stop the hanging of live chickens by their legs during the slaughter procedure,
  • Guarantee access to the outdoors or a winter garden for chickens, for at least 20% of its supplies.

“Boulangerie Louise has, however, refused since 2020 to provide proof of its progress in favor of chickens,” the association is outraged.
